Pet identification tags containing your phone number and address can mean a safe return home for a lost pet. Pet professionals across the globe cannot stress the importance of pet ID tags enough. I have seen my fair share of dogs finding their way into the shelter without identification, and no way to find out who they belong to. It's a sad, unnecessary potential problem in a dog's life that can be easily prevented.

I have been searching for over a year to find a dog identification tag that was unique, and suited my male German Shepherd Hunter. I am quite picky with what he wears, selecting unique and high quality collars and leashes that suit his lovely masculine build and gorgeous wolf-like coat colours. I am a bit of a collar and dog tag collector, I'll admit... and the ultimate dog accessory for me is one I can customize!

I was very excited when I stumbled upon the Tag Me Pet Tags store on Etsy, eagerly submitting an inquiry via their "custom request" feature. The tags looked stunning, timeless and sturdy. My inquiry was answered within 12 hours, and almost immediately I had the sense of excellent customer service. Tag Me Pet Tags offered to come up with a unique design for my pet tag based on the photo examples I had sent them expressing what I wanted on the tag. They worked extremely quickly and got example proofs back to me the same day. They were artistic, clean designs that I quickly deemed worthy of my special boy!

I sent them real photos of various Schutzhund (now known as IPO) positions, and the talented artist who designed my tag was able to take two aspects of two different images and combine them to create exactly what I wanted. I was very impressed!

I am impressed with both the incredible customer service, speed of service, and quality of the product. The tag itself has some weight to it, making it feel resistant to wear. The craftsmanship is both artistic and professional, and the contrast between the base tag colour and the engraved image is just stunning. The information is large and clear on the back of the tag, easy to read, and is resistant to fading or being scratched off.

If you are seeking a unique, awesome dog tag that is resistant to wear, weather and time this is definitely a great option. I was beyond pleased with the custom image they adorned my tag with, it looks like an expensive and special piece of artwork. The price for such a cool tag is very reasonable, and it looks fantastic on Hunter! Overall, this is the best dog ID tag I have ever purchased hands down and I will absolutely be returning to them for a tag my new puppy can grow up with!

A HUGE thank you to Tag Me Pet Tags for providing such a phenomenal product and exemplary customer service

My heart dog, my beloved beast Hunter, is turning two on the 26th of May. I wanted to bake him something special for his big day, and thought pupcakes would be an excellent makeshift birthday cake! What are pupcakes you ask? They are dog-friendly cupcakes that are much healthier than our own version of the delicious treat.

This pupcake recipe is grain-free, made with nutritious coconut flour that is phenomenal for the dog's skin and coat. If you want to make the wheat flour version of this pupcake recipe, substitute 1/2 cup of coconut flour with 1 cup of whole wheat flour.

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 mashed bananas
  • 1/2 cup of coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup of cottage cheese

  • 1 tsp raw honey

Peanut Butter Icing
  • 6 oz of cream cheese

Directions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit .
  2. Line a muffin pan with paper muffin cups.
  3. In a large bowl mix the peanut butter, eggs, bananas, cottage cheese and honey. Mix in the coconut flour and baking soda. Mix well.
  4. Use two spoons to drop dollops of dough into the muffin cups and fill the cups 3/4 of the way.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Let your dogs lick the spoons clean. (Very important step!)
  7. In a small bowl cream together the cream cheese, oil and peanut butter.
  8. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes.
  9. Let the muffins cool then ice the pupcakes and place freeze dried liver treats on top.
  10. Serve, and enjoy the delight on their faces as they chow down!

I want to use some space here to wish my beautiful boy a very happy second birthday! We will be at a dog event on May 26th when he turns two, so I will be bringing a container of pupcakes with me for him and his friends to celebrate with.

Hunter, you are my heart and soul. My protector, my loyal companion, my constant shadow, my working partner, my cuddlebug, my world. I love you to pieces, Hunter. Happy birthday, my boy. <3
