You can tell the collars are hand made and high quality, and that the artisan takes time making these pieces the very best she can. You can see the quality and feel it once you're holding it in your hands. She starts the process by picking out the hide in person to get the best quality she can, and it pays off! The leather is thick and starts out stiff, but works out quickly and feels very flexible after a few weeks of use!
Collars by Riley will work very closely with you on design and size to insure you get exactly what you want, and to make sure the collar properly fits your dog - no matter the size or breed! After the basic information has been approved by you, she begins creating the collar! A template is cut using a special tool called a swivel knife, which cuts the design into the leather. She then uses smaller tools to add texture and depth to the design. After painting and staining the collar, it is then ready to be finished and conditioned! She assembles the collar and ships it off to its new home! The process takes approximately 3 to 5 weeks depending on the size of the collar and the complexity of the design. It is well worth the wait, however! Nothing beats a fully customized, hand made leather collar that will be entirely unique to your dog!

The collar is a beautiful work of art, and I am constantly getting compliments on it! It is unique, and that alone makes it very special.
